UNAPOLOGETIC.

When I found UNAPOLOGETIC., I was in a phase of wandering and exploration...but without really understanding what all was even possible to explore. I saw myself as a side project...barely a main character in my own story. Always willing to be a part of a story, but lacking the confidence to create my own. One could say I was a pigeon in a sky of uncertainty. A muskcrat in the forest of bewilderment. If you were to describe me as either of those things you would be both completely correct, and also terribly troubled and strange.

At some point, I developed paths in mind for the various routes I could take and copious identities I could fall into, but it wasn't until being a part of this team that slowly, the idea, and the possibilities of what it meant to just be me expanded...and that's when I actually began to explore.

I wrote songs. I figured out what it means to be on a never-ending journey of self-discovery, without the fear. I wrote more songs. I figured out what it means to be vulnerable, and how my vulnerability can inspire someone else's openness. I wrote even more songs until eventually, I was no longer a pigeon in the tree's of whatever the hell I said before. But I was more like a freaking hawk, in the clouds of laughter, or something crazy like that. Don't know where these animilistic metaphors are coming from, but somewhere over the last 10 years I learned how to phrase things in the way I wanted to, so deal with it.

I found family, confidence, the foundations of a new story, and connections that will last me a life time over the past 10 years, and I'm eternally grateful for them. There is so much to my journey as an artist that took place before joining UNAPOLOGETIC., but in so many ways, joining this team feels like it was the first day in figuring out who I was.
