1. "Everything is Peaceful Love" - Bon Iver

My favorite just announced a new album for this April and released the first single on Valentine's day. The first time I listened to this song, I danced...the second time I listened, I cried. To create something with the message of the solution being love (at least that's how I inturpretted it) in times like these...it was just really powerful to me. Love this song and can't wait for the rest of the album

2. "Rockman" - Mk.gee

I wasn't crazy about Mk.gee when his debut album came out last year. It was definitely good but it just didn't really blow me away upon first listen. Most of the songs sounded kind of the same to me. But the more I listen to it the more and more I respect it and enjoy how himself he is. I arguably enjoy this follow up single he released after his album more than anything on the album itself. I've been jamming to it for a few months now, and the performance of it on SNL drove it home as a bop for the rest of the season.

3. "Cyanide" - Daniel Ceasar

Pretty simple explanation here...Emilia debuted her newest choreographic work "I Could Be Your Moon" with Ballet Memphis this past weekend...and one of the songs in her piece is "Cyanide". I've been hearing clips of it for the past few months and now I'm finally hooked.

4. "Sorry Fahey" - Haley Heynderickx

I've been loving this new album from Haley ever since it released this past fall. She hadn't released an album in I believe 6 years so this was a huge deal for fans of the indie songstress such as myself. There are several standouts, some leaning more towards a pop songwriting style, and then songs like this that just have an identity of their own and live in their own universe. Form means nothing here and her melodic choices are so specific to her creative mind. Also sonically this whole album sounds so natural and beautiful and this song embodies all of those aformentioned qualites to perfection.

5. "Abracadabra" - Lady Gaga

Gonna be a basic pop bitch on this one, but cmon, Gaga is the shit. She always has been and always will be. Guess she's coming out with a new album this spring and released this song to even further propel my excitement. Music video is crazy too, as to be expected from Gaga. Her voice just gives me goosebumps...she doesn't even have to be singing words for me to feel like it's cutting into my soul. Love this song and can't wait to hear the rest of the album!

Thanks for reading and hope you find something here you enjoy!
